Assistants help me during the day. Tasks included: passing our papers, putting work in portfolios, sharpening pencils and anything else that I need to help the classroom run smoothly.

Line leaders lead the class when we leave the room. They need to be able to set a good example for their classmates . They also need to listen for directions on the stairs.

These students will be in charge of passing out lunch boxes and maintaining a neat and orderly closet.

These students take turns taking down the morning attendance folder and delivering other items to the office. If a visitor is coming to the class, they will escort the visitor to out room.

This is a very important job because I love my plants! These students will be in charge of watering the plants each day. They will also change plant containers when necessary as well as feed the plants.

Do you love to draw? Do you also love to have neat crayon and marker boxes? These student will maintain our art center. Once a week they will re-organize the crayon and marker boxes, check the glue sticks and fix the paper trays.

We have a great library! It takes a lot of time to set it up and keep it neat. New books come in and need to be shelved. Baskets and bins need to be checked and broken books need to be put in the book hospital. This is also a once a week job.

Yes, it's a fancy way of saying class cleaners. It's an important job keeping our room neat and you get to use the vacuum cleaner!

Do you love computers? These students help me with the Smart Board and the student computer. They will learn how to set up the Smart Board and the overhead projector.
