Homework

Reading is the most important homework each night! Try to read for 30 minutes each night.
You can read to yourself or you can read to a family
member.
Find a quiet place so that you can think about your reading. If you start a
new book or finish a book remember to note that in your reading log.

Math homework will be assigned most nights. Usually you will have a study
links page but sometimes I will give you a story problem to solve. This
homework gives you a chance to practice the lesson of the day and gives me a
chance to see how you are doing. Math homework should take about 10 minutes.

Writing notebooks are a very important part of our writing program. The work
that you do in your notebook is the seed of all your future published writing. Some nights I will ask you
to work on a writing project and other nights I may ask you to write anything you like!

From time to time you may get a quick grammar sheet. These should take no more than 10 minutes .
They are always a review of the lesson taught in class.
These are quick and should take no more than 10 minutes.
