Computer Class
Hello,
I am certified by New York State to teach Pre K through sixth grades. Additionally, I have a District
Administration certification and degree from Stony Brook University.
I believe the technology tool chosen for a class activity must have a clear purpose, be age-
appropriate, and allow the child to take an active role in his or her own learning.
I believe that patience and a little know-how are keys to the success of classroom technology
integration. I have been working with technology for many years and look forward to the next decade
of digital tools.
On a personal basis, I love traveling, sailing, and spending as much time with my husband, my sweet
baby boy, and lovable cocker spaniel Spencer! I adore animals and try to help our four-legged friends
whenever possible.
The computer is an important tool to enhance lessons and engage our digital natives, with hands-on
meaningful activities. I hope to encourage students to embrace technology as a life-long learning tool.
Quogue School Lab Notes
The computer lab has a SmartBoard, twenty-one Apple iMacs and a cart of iPads.
While on campus, the fourth, fifth and sixth grade students have access to a wireless laptop for class
lessons. Each laptop comes with filtered Internet connectivity for their protection. All students have
access to the computer lab twice a week for lessons and on demand.
