Mr. Carbone has been teaching at the Quogue School for the past 36
years. He has been teaching the fourth grade for the past 17 years. On
weekends during the winter months he and his wife teach skiing and
snowboarding at Okemo Mountain in Vermont. During the summer, he
manages the Swordfish Beach Club in Westhampton Beach. Being involved
with people throughout the year has helped him understand children and
how they learn and what is important for them to learn.
It is important for the present fourth grade class to attain skills
in all academic areas so that each individual student becomes a better
learner which will ensure that each student's future education will
build on these learned skills.
