Multiplication Sundae Challenge
Our newest job in 3rd grade math is to serve up all of the multiplication facts from 0 through 12 with no dripping, spilling or mistakes in the order! We need to eat, breathe and sleep those gooey facts so that they stick to our brains forever! To make the learning interesting and delicious, the students have a Super Duper Sweet challenge...but they have to serve up the facts and only the facts!
Once the students have mastered each times table, they will earn the following:
0’s- Bowl
1’s- Napkin
2’s- Spoon
3’s- One scoop
4’s- Second scoop
5’s- Third Scoop
6’s- Chocolate Syrup
7’s- Whipped Cream
8’s- Sprinkles
9’s- M&M’s
10’s- Cherry
11’s- Caramel Sauce
12’s- Brownie
Every week, we will work on a new times table. On Friday of that week, they will be quizzed on that table. The schedule will be as follows:

Our Ice Cream Party will take place on Friday, February 17 at 2:30 p.m. A notice will go home once the date gets closer and we would love for you to join us!
At home, students are encouraged to study each time table every night, about 10 minutes or so. This can be done by using simple flash cards, oral quizzes, written quizzes, etc. Check out our class website for some useful tools in aiding in this process. Extra practice at home will aid them immensely in mastering these skills! We thank you in advance for your assistance and can’t wait to PARTY!
