I absolutely love teaching and am so thrilled to be your new third-grade
teacher! Ever since I was young, I knew I always wanted to teach and make a
difference in my student's lives.
I come to the Quogue School with a Masters in Education in Grades 1-6
from Molloy College as well as a Bachelor of Arts in English from Siena
College. I have previously taught fifth-grade, first-grade and Kindergarten,
as well as Special Education. I am currently working towards a certification in
Special Education.
A little about me-I am an avid reader and I truly enjoy all genres. I
love spending time with my family and friends as well as my dogs!
I am so excited for this school year, as it will be my second year at Quogue!
I'm looking forward to an amazing year with a great group of students! I
can't wait to get to know all of you the first few weeks of school while
understanding your unique likes and talents.
Get ready for an educational, informative and terrific school year! :)
To instill a love of learning while recognizing that each child is a
unique individual who needs a caring, safe and motivating environment and
atmosphere in which he/she can grow and mature. It is our job as educators
to provide this stimulating environment with constant support and the
welcoming and sharing of new ideas.
In our classroom community, students will be set up for success with
constant motivation and encouragement while learning. Efforts will be
applauded and rewarded. Students will be given choices in their learning to
allow them to take ownership of their education.
Students will learn through direct instruction, indirect instruction,
cooperative and collaborative learning as well as hands-on activities.
Differentiated instruction is imperative in meeting the needs of diverse
learners and as educators, we will accomodate all learning styles. Much
emphasis will also be put on multi-subject learning implemented throughout
centers.
We truly believe that parents are the givers of life and it is
imperative that they are a part of their children's lives. Constant
communication between home and school is imperative in education. As
teachers, we will work together with parents to ensure that their children
reach and surpass their goals and achieve their personal best.
