St. Elizabeth Catholic Academy believes that it is an integral part of the educational ministry of the Catholic Church. It exists to provide for the education of the whole child within an environment where spiritual growth, academic excellence and an appreciation of multicultural values are fostered. We wish to provide our students with the opportunity to become contributing members of the Church, community and society.

A hearty thank you to Mrs. Jackie Merckling for all of the special things she does for our Academy and students. It is truly appreciated. In addition to the wonderful job she does with the Raffle Extravaganza she handles the lunch program, afterschool program, dress down, Sports Day, summer camp and many other things, We are blessed to have her!

There will be a Home and School Meeting on Tuesday, May 16th at 7:30 P.M. At this meeting our band will present a short concert and the Board chairman, Mr. Joseph Sawe, will present the state of the Academy. Sports Day will be held on Friday, May 26th. Dismissal will be at 1:00 P.M.

Our second graders will be making their First Holy Communion some on Saturday May 6th and some on Saturday, May 20th at the 5:00 P.M. Mass. School will be open on Ascension Thursday, May 25th and the children will attend the 9:00 A.M. Mass. The May Crowning with our Communicants will be on Thursday, May 25th following the 9:00 A.M. Mass. Thank you to Mrs. Stallone for preparing our children and congratulations to all receiving their Communion.

School will be closed on Monday, May 29th, Memorial Day, as we remember all those who have given their lives for our country. Please remember these heroes in your prayers.

Congratulations to our students in Grades 6, 7 & 8 who presented their social entrepreneur projects at Reed Smith Law Firm on Wednesday, April 5th. It was a great experience! These children will be presenting their projects at Harvard University on Friday, May 19th. We wish them success.

Our Drama Club under the direction of Miss Gambino, Miss Voegtlen and Mr.
Gottcent will present "Law and Order: C-rhyme and Punishment" on Friday, May 12th. There will be an afternoon performance at 1:15 P.M. and an evening show at 7:30 P.M. We wish the students who have been working so hard "Good Luck!" or "Break a leg!”
