Why should I bring home my content area notebooks several days a week?

The best way to study for Social Studies, Science, and Religion is
to go over the vocabulary words you've looked up and written in
your notebooks. You can review them until you know the
definitions, or make flashcards to study with. Upper grade
students need to study a lot in order to do well. You can do it!

I just received a Homework Pass. How do I use this?

You have one month from the date of issue to use this. You always
get a homework pass for your birthday; it's good for one homework
assignment. Of course, this does not excuse you from studying for
a test or completing a long-term project.

Will I become better organized this year?

Absolutely! Part of my job as the fourth grade teacher is to get
you ready for the upper grades where you will have to move from
class to class for different subjects. To do that, you'll spend a
lot of time looking at schedules, preparing to begin lessons on
time with the right supplies, and learning how to work together-
COOPERATION! Listen carefully and you will do well!
