Do the children take naps in Pre-K?

The 4 year old children do not take naps. The 3 year old
children will go down the hallway to the other classroom with
the aide for their naps. The 4 year olds will spend their
afternoons in specials (gym, music, art) or doing some seatwork.

Do the children have homework?

The children do not have homework. It is recommmended that you
read to your child for 15-20 minutes each night.

We will be working on a new letter of the alphabet each week.
Your child may come home on a Monday night and ask someone in
the home for words that start with the letter of the week so
that they may share those words with the class the following day.
You may write the words on paper and send them with your child
in their folder.

If my child misses his/her scheduled day of school, can they make it up?

No, they can not make it up. It is very hard to keep an accurate
count of children on any given day if we have children coming on
days that they are not scheduled for.

Should I be concerned if my child comes home and says he/she had her seat changed?

No need to be concerned. It usually means that there is a
personality conflict or too much fooling around and in order
to keep peace we may need to change some seats around.
