What is the best way to contact the teacher?
You may contact the teacher through a note in your child's two pocket
folder, via email or telephoning the school. I will contact you as soon
as possible.
How can I send money to school?
Please send money for lunch, field trips or such in an envelope labeled
with your child's name and what the money is for and put it in your
child's two pocket folder.
Which days are Kindergarten's specials? (Art, Music...)
The schedule is Computer and Library are on Monday, Art on Tuesdays, Gym is on Wednesdays
and Music on Thursdays.
Can we celebrate my child's birthday at school?
Yes! Children love to celebrate their birthdays at school with a special
treat. Please send enough for the entire class (22 children). Please make
sure that your treat does NOT contain nuts or comes from a mix that has
been processed in a facility that processes tree nuts! If you would like
us to distribute invitations for your child's birthday party, we will do
so if either the entire class is invited or all the boys or all the
girls. If you hand select a few, please distribute your invitations
through the mail. We don't want hurt feelings.
What is the kindergarten uniform?
The kindergarten uniform is the summer and winter gym uniform. Optionally
the boys may wear a white polo with St. Joseph logo and navy shorts or
dress pants and girls may wear navy jumper with white blouse or plaid
jumper with light blue "peter pan" blouse. Sneakers may be worn
for safety. For additional information, please consult the student
handbook on the school's website.
Do you have show and tell and when is it?
Once we begin Show and Tell (In October) it will be the first Friday of every month (unless otherwise noted). Children may bring in one thing for show and tell each time. Please do not send in precious items, items that can break or any type of animal/pet without prior approval.
