The sixth graders have been preparing to lead the Living Stations of the
Cross. They have also been making small sacrifices and noting them
anonymously on our stained glass cross. Jesus died for us, so we make these
small sacrifices for Him.
In sixth grade students study the Old Testament. We begin with Genesis and
the story of Abraham, our Father in Faith. Salvation history continues
following Joseph, the Loyal Son; Moses and the Exodus; judges, and kings,
including King David and his son, Solomon.
We compare Old Testament topics with Jesus's interpretations/explanations
found in the New Testament, and then explore what these mean to us in the
year 2011.
