Hello Everyone,
What a fun week we had celebrating Catholic Schools Week. It was great to
see so many of you on Family Night. The children are always so proud and
excited to show you their work and the classrooom.
We're looking forward to celebrating Valentine's Day with lots of love and a
party, too. The 100th day is right around the corner, as you know! I'm
looking forward to seeing the great ideas the children have for the 100th Day
projects.
A big "thank you" to all who generously purchased books for our class
library...for all of us to enjoy. We sure love to read!!
We have completed the third reader in the first grade series of anthologies.
The children will be preparing for the Unit Test early this week (February
6th) by reviewing the concepts that were presented throughout. I will begin
administering the test on Wednesday (Feb. 8th), completing it on Friday.
As you review your child's report card grades for the second quarter marking

FIRST GRADE ENCORE SCHEDULE 2011/2012:
Monday: Music and Technology
Tuesday: Physical Education, Library for half of the class, and Spanish
Wednesday: Library for half of the class and Music
Thursday: Physical Education and Art
Friday: Liturgical Music and Character Education
There could be changes made to this schedule, but for now this is what our
schedule looks like. As always, we reinforce all of the skills and concepts
that are covered in the encore classes.
