THEME- Needs and Wants
SUMMARY-People have needs, or things they6 must have to live: food, water,
clothes, shelter. We also have wants. Most of us cannot have every-
thing we want, so we have to make choices about what we truly want.
The lessons this month will help the children understand the difference
between a need and a want.
-We will:-better understand what work is and the different kinds of work
people do.
-differentiate between a career and being a volunteer worker
-use a map and map key, understanding that symbols stand for
something else
-understand that goods are made, bought, and traded
