Welcome to the New School Year

September 8, 2011

Dear Parents, Grandparents, Guardians and Students:

Welcome back to the start of another year at St. Mark’s Day School. May God’s grace enable us to obtain those “heights by great people reached”. My dear students, are you ready for a year that promises, as a part of your continuing educational journey, excitement and challenge? I can’t wait to see each of you reach for and capture new and greater knowledge, skills and abilities. You are talented and gifted young women and men and we are already proud of your accomplishments.

St. Mark’s is blessed by an abundance of grace that we see each day in the beauty of God’s creation. Much has changed over the summer but one thing remained the same – we are a learning community whose life is rooted in faith and each of us need to work extra hard to reach new and greater depths of understanding and respect. As I always say to you, “plan your work and work your plan,” for this will greatly impact your success.

Parents, you make a significant commitment to support the education of your sons and daughters by sending them to St. Mark’s Day School. Here they will benefit from exceptional instruction, informed guidance, generous spirits, and abundant knowledge. Each adult present on this campus will serve as a model of good citizenship, always treating your children with respect and dignity. They will be nurtured here at St. Mark’s School and return to you each afternoon having made gains in knowledge, goodness, and grace.

School reopens on September 8, 2011 at 7:45 AM; however the gates will be open at 7:15 AM for students who are registered for the Early Drop Off Program

Sincerely,

 Derrick Smith B.A., Dip. Ed.

Principal
