Board of Trustees

The Board of Trustees plays a key role in the strategic oversight of the St. Mark's Day School. The role is defined largely by the Board's relationship with the Vestry. The mission of the Board is to oversee the preparation of all students to be responsible individuals and to give them the opportunity to acquire and master the skills, knowledge and abilities necessary to make informed decisions and choices that lead to meaningful and productive lives.

The Board establishes student-centered policies and administrative regulations to provide proper management and academic programs. To ensure that local and state requirements are met, the Board, with the principal, reviews the curriculum content in the various subject areas. In addition, the Board makes recommendation to the principal concerning effective internal operations, buildings and grounds, school safety and security, and instructional practice.

The Board of Trustees is committed academic excellence.
