Ms. Bucca is the ESL teacher for the Middle and High School. She began
working in 2005 at Tuckahoe. Before working at Tuckahoe, she taught English
in Germany and in Manhattan.
Mrs. Solomon is Ms. Bucca's leave replacement. She has been teaching ESL
since 2008. Prior to becoming an ESL teacher, Mrs. Solomon ran a remedial
math program for seven years at an elementary school in Rockland County.
To provide a comfortable, safe learning atmosphere and assist in English
language development. ESL classes focus on developing learning strategies
that help social and academic English. Language instruction includes
reading, writing, listening and speaking and focuses on literature and
grammar.
