Adjacent Angles - are 2 angles that have a common endpoint and a common side
Alternate Exterior Angles - are a pair of nonadjacent angles that are both 
                            outside the parallel lines and on the opposite 
                            sides of the transversal
Alternate Interior Angles - are a pair of nonadjacent angles that are both
                            inside the parallel lines and on opposite sides 
                            of the transversal



Base - is the factor being multiplied
Binomial - is the sum or difference of two unlike terms



Commission - is a fee paid or earned when something is sold
Complementary Angles - are 2 angles whose measures add up to 90 degrees
Congrunet Angles - are angles that have the same measure
Corresponding Angles - are a pair of nonadjacent angles that are on the same
                       side of the transversal and one angle is on the inside
                       and one angle is on the outside of the parallel lines



Dilation - ia a transformation that results from the reduction or enlargement 
           of an image
Discount - is an amount taken off the regular price of an item
Domain - is the set of input values in a function



Estimate - is a rough calculation or an approximation, not an exact answer 
Exponent - shows the number of times the base is multiplied
Exterior Angles - is a pair of nonadjacent angles that are both on the same
                  side of the transversal and on the outside of the parallel
                  lines



Function - is a relationship where one thing depends upon another
Function Table - is where you can organize the input, rule, and output of a 
                 function



Interest - is the amount of money paid or earned for the use of money
Interior Angles - are a pair of nonadjacent angles that are both on the same
                  side of the transversal and inside the parallel lines
Intersecting Lines - are 2 lines that cross each other at only one point



Line of Reflection - is the line a figure is flipped over in a reflection
Linear Equation - has a graph that is a straight line


Monomial - has only one term


Nonlinear Equation - has a graph that is not a straight line


Ordered Pairs - names the location of a point on a coordinate grid



Parabola - is the graph of a quadratic function
Percent - is a ratio that compares a number to 100
Percent of Change - is a ratio that compares the change in quantity to the
                    original amount (percent of increase or decrease)
Polynomial - is an expression consisting of either one term, or the sum or 
             difference of 2 or more terms
Principal - is the initial amount borrowed or invested


Quadratic - is  a polynomial with a variable raised to the second power
Quadratic Equation - is a polnomial equation in the form 
                      ax squared + bx + c = 0
Quadratic Function - has the form y = ax squared + bx + c



Range - is the set of output values in a function
Reflection - is a type of transformation in which a mirror image is produced
             by flipping a figure over a line
Relation - is a set of ordered pairs
Rotation - is a transformation involving the turning or spinning of a figure
           around a fixed point



Sales Tax - is an amount paid to the city and state
Slope - of a line is the ratio of the vertical change to the corresponding
        horizontal change
Slope Intercept Form - is the equation of a straight line in the form
                    y = mx + b, where m is the slope and b is the y-intercept
Supplementary Angles - are 2 angles whose measures add up to 180 degrees



Tip - is an amount of money added to a bill for service; usually a percent of 
      the bill
Transformtaion - a mapping of a geometric figure
Translation - is a transformation in which a figure is slid hoizontally
              (right or left), vertically (up or down), or both
Transversal - is a line that intersects 2 or more lines at a different points
Trinomial - is the sum and/or difference of three unlike terms



Vertical Angles - are opposite angles formed by intersecting lines and are
                  congruent
Vertex - is the common endpoint in an angle


Y Intercept - of a line is the y coordinate of the point where the line 
              crosses the y-axis
