October has been a busy month in Room 16. We are moving carefully with our
Fundations program. We have taught the spelling / phonics rules for:
ee, ea, ey = e ai, ay=a ink, ank ,onk, unk closed syllable- can Please
review at home as you work with our homework. We are learning to write
sentences using capital letters at the beginning of every sentence. We have
also learned the capitalization rules ie. proper nouns, names of months and
days of the week, titles of books and titles of persons. Remember to check
your child's homework for their use of these capital letters. Our Math Topic
2 focus is Addition strategies. Please watch for our Mad Minutes to come
home and practice your facts as needed. Our Fall Party is on Thursday,
