I've been teaching American History since 1998. I love teaching and
dealing with students. I understand that life is tough in middle school and I
feel your pain, but we all have a job to do. I must prepare you to pass the
exams and you must sit and learn. No worries - I'll make it as fun and
painless as possible. I want every student to enjoy my class and to succeed.
My goal in this class is to teach you the chronological history of the
United States from the Civil War Era to the present day.
By the end of the school year you will be able to demonstrate an
understanding of causes and results of major events that have shaped America.
You will also learn about basic human rights and how the United States has
dealt with these rights. It is my hope that you will learn life-long skills
that will help make a better future for yourselves and the rest of the world.
The most important thing I wish to provide for you is a safe
learning environment. I want every student in my class to be able to speak
their mind without being afraid of being made fun of. No matter what, I am
always here to help you and to take care of you. I welcome you all to come
and speak with me if you have any problems whatsoever.
