About us...............

About Mrs. Manning......
This is my 9th year teaching at Watervliet Elementary School. I taught
6th grade my first four. During my 5th year I served as the 2nd grade
Reading Specialist. Since then, I have been teaching 2nd grade. I absolutely
love this age and can see myself retiring at this grade level.

In my opinion, teaching a child to read, write, speak, and learn is by far
the greatest and most rewarding profession. I am completely dedicated and
believe in an open door policy with parents and families. This teamwork will
result in success for your child.

In my spare time I like to read, go to the gym, and hang out with my family
and friends. I am married to James Manning. We are expecting our first baby
at the end of January. I also coach the modified/freshman girls'basketball
team at Watervliet HighSchool. This year our team was 14 and 0!!!!!!!!!!! Go
Lady Cannoneers!

I believe in a coaching philosophy toward education. Your child is the
player and I'm the coach cheering them to an academic victory! I feel I am
firm, but fair and consistent. I hope we get to know each other very well
and develop a partnership through your child.

About Miss Yerry........
This is my first year teaching at Watervliet Elementary School and I am very
excited. I've worked at the Watervliet Civic Center for several years so I
am very familar with many children in the district and look forward to
meeting those students I do not know, especially these second graders!

I'm going to strive to give your children quality instruction that meets
their individual needs. Also, like Mrs. Manning, I believe that it is so
important for parents and teachers to have good communication in order for
the children to have the best success. I look forward to getting to know you
and your children.

Mission For The District and Our Class
