Introduction

Someone once said, "The only true constant is change." A little
ironic, don't you think? How can a word that by its definition
means a newness or something different be a constant??

Well, let's think about what we know in terms of change . . . we
know our bodies always change; the world/universe
continuously changes; population changes daily (even every
second); cultural trends change; people's opinions and
knowledge base change; modes of entertainment,
transportation, communication, etc. are in flux; family life and the
concept of family itself has changed and continues to do so; etc.
I guess you could say, "CHANGE IS CONSTANT"!

In this web quest you will identify the factors which contribute to
and/or detract from one's ability to change, including such factors
as belief and value systems, culture/geographic location, power,
teen issues, and choices/decision-making skills, as they relate
in particular to The Freedom Writers Diary and the lives of the
students at Renaissance House/Stepping Stones.

You will be working as a team to gather information regarding
your specific concept as it relates to and influences change. You
will need to visit specific sites selected for you as well as
discuss questions along the way to arrive at your conclusions.
