When will I get my instrument?

When all the rental forms are returned (middle of September) each class will 
come to the orchestra room and Mr. Goetz will hand out each instrument. Mr. 
Goetz will slowly show each student how to hold and carry their instrument.

When do we start lessons?

Lessons will begin after all the instruments are handed out.
A schedule will be posted in each classroom showing students when to come 
for their lessons.

Are lessons during the school day?

Yes, lessons are during the school day and are rotated each week so know one 
misses any academic subjects.

Do the students perform during the school year?

The orchestra has two performances during the school year.
The dates are March 3rd at 6:30 and May 26th at 6:30.
All performances are at the high school in either the gym or auditorium.

Is there homework?

Yes, each student must practice one hour per-week. As an example you could 
practice 15 min. on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Sunday for a total of 1 
hour. You can practice more then one hour but not less then one hour.

Why do I need to practice?

If you practice each week, playing your instrument will get easier, and its 
fun.
