I have been teaching in the Yorktown School District for 9 years. Seven of
those years were spent teaching 5th grade at Crompond School. I also taught
2 years at Mildred E. Strang Middle School. I am so happy to be returning
to Crompond again, and am excited to teach 4th graders.
My mission for the class is for all students to believe in themselves and
recognize the unique qualities they possess. Our deep understanding of
literature depends on our ability to draw upon our past and make
connections. Each student is an integral part of the class and everyone can
learn from one another. Our classroom activities will allow students to talk
with one another and experiment with different strategies which will help
them to become life long learners.
