Mr. Pastore is in his eleventh full year as a fourth grade teacher
at Crompond School. He previously taught for two years as a substitute
teacher in the Yorktown, Lakeland, and Harrison school districts. Mr.
Pastore did his student teaching with Mrs. Abel at French Hill
in second grade and also with Mrs. Levy in fifth grade at Crompond.
He was then a maternity leave replacement for Mrs. Black in fourth
grade at Crompond before starting his current position as a fourth grade
teacher. Mr. Pastore is married and has a wife, Denise,
and two daughters, Rachel, age 25, and Kimberly, age 19.
One of my missions this year is to teach the children about
differences. I am hopeful that the students in my class will leave in
June with an understanding that we are all different and that we
should be tolerant and patient with each other.
