Mrs. Fazio is the Enrichment Specialist at Crompond Elementary School. She
coordinates and heads the Gifted and Talented Program for grades 3-5 as well
as teaching the advanced grade 4 math program. In addition to having a GT
pull-out program where students are identified for the program, she also
collaborates with teachers in the classroom on differentiated curriculum and
enrichment. Part of the program also includes differentiating the grade 3
math curriculum for our most able math students in enriching their learning.
Some of Mrs. Fazio's highlights of the program has been Shakespeare
performances, the stock market game, robotics and forensics. She enjoys
learning with the children and exploring new ideas.
Our mission in the Gifted and Talented Program is to enhance our learning
through creative and critical problem solving in many differentiated projects
and units. Children work together as team members and also on individual
projects to broaden and enhance their knowledge.
