About The Teacher

Hi everyone! I am Mrs. Santosusso and I teach 3rd grade at Crompond
School. I have been working here since 1997 and I absolutely love it!

I live in Yorktown Heights with my husband, Michael, our adorable
son, Reece and our beautiful baby girl, Ava. We enjoy spending time together
laughing, learning and celebrating life. Our children bring Michael and I
such pleasure. We love to watch them explore, discover, achieve and grow.

My classroom is located on the lower level in room 6. Drop by and say
hello!

Our Mission

This school year is going to be an exciting one! We will be doing an
extensive author study, reading chapter books, creating poetry, learning new
math concepts, growing gardens, raising butterflies, writing in cursive and
exploring the world around us, to name just a few!

As you can see, in third grade, you will learn countless new things! You
will also get the chance to make many new friends and have tons of fun!

In order to participate fully in all of our activities, you will need
lots of enthusiasm, an eagerness to learn and a commitment to hard work.
Furthermore, third grade requires you to have a sense of humor, a vivid
imagination, a spirit of cooperation and a ready smile!

I am sure we will have fun this year, as we grow in our knowledge about
ourselves and our world.

MRS. SANTOSUSSO'S PHILOSOPHY
I am committed to nurturing children in a stimulating, positive and safe
environment, where they can develop confidence and life long skills. I
believe in making learning fun, providing challenges and celebrating
everyone's unique and special talents.

"Teachers are those who use themselves as bridges, over which they
invite their students to cross; then having facilitated their crossing,
joyfully collapse, encouraging them to create bridges of their own."
                      - N. Karantzakis
