5 - Muldoon/Strang
"Alka Seltzer"
![]() Ms. Muldoon's class did a controlled study with Alka Seltzer.
They measured the dissolving rate in different temperatures of water.
![]() They used hot, room temperature, and cold tap water.
Which do you think dissolved the Alka Seltzer tablet the fastest?

5-Qui
Sets up a Controlled Study
![]() Ms. Quinones' class set up their own
controlled study using a ball and ramp.
What effect will the height of the ramp
have on how fast the ball will travel down it?
![]() Every group did three trials.

![]() They made their own cheek cell slides.
![]() They looked at their cells under low power and high power.

THEY RECORDED THEIR OBSERVATIONS. ![]() AFTER THE INVESTIGATION, THEY ADDED 60ml OF WATER TO THE MYSTERY POWDER AND STIRRED. THEY RECORDED THEIR OBSERVATIONS. THEY KEPT ADDING 6Oml OF WATER UNTIL THEY REACHED 270 ml. ![]() THEN THEY RECORDED THEIR CONCLUSION. |
