*************************************************************** A LETTER FROM SOLDIER CANDI LYNN November 16, 2009 Dear Ms. Iennaco and Students, Thank you so much for the letters and care package. It was such a nice surprise. I really enjoyed the letters from the children. I am sure that I am not the only soldier who appreciated your efforts with "Make a Difference Day". Special thanks to Marlee, Caitlin, Rebeka, Deindre, Rachel, Kelly, Catherine, Ethan, Jane, James, and Lindsay (4-Pas & 4-Tho) for the wonderful Halloween cards. Great Job! This deployment has been safe for the most part. There were a few scares when the base was hit by rockets, but I am pleased to report that we had no casualties. I am a Helicopter Mechanic so I don't have to leave the base. I just show up at the airfield to work on the helicopters. Well, we are in the home stretch now. We are starting to pack up which seems a little early. But the leaders have been talking and preparing us more and more everyday for going home. We were supposed to be home by the end of January, but now it looks like it will be more like the beginning of January. I can't wait. By the time this letter gets to you I will no longer be able to receive mail over here. I hope you continue to help our soldiers and thanks again for all your hard work with soldier's angels. Thanks for everything. SPC Gerhart, Candi Lynn ![]() ********************************************************************************************* A LETTER FORM MS. MULDOON'S ADOPTED SOLDIER SOPHIA
