Our mission, is to promote a love for reading while supporting, enriching,
and building our students prior knowledge. We will accomplish our goals
through the use of a variety of materials and resources, as well as,
building their reading skills, writing skills, and listening skills. We will
also support and enrich their understanding, acquisition and practice of
math concepts. Furthermore, these goals will be accomplished by choosing
appropriate materials, using technology, developing our students higher
level thinking skills, and supporting our teachers.
Goals:
To encourage and support all the different learning styles of our students
through the use of different resources and technology.
To provide instruction in reading and math,in a small group setting, for
those children targeted as needing extra support.
To teach our students the skills and strategies they can
apply,independently,in their classrooms, in both reading and math.
To provide in class support so that all children are working at their
optimal
level.
To support our classroom teachers as they implement the district's
curriculum.
To enrich their prior knowledge so that they are able to comprehend the
different genres being presented.
To develop the students mathematical abilities.
To become independent readers and writers.
