What is the best way to contact Mrs. Weiner?

I believe in a strong home-school connection. Please feel free to contact
me. While you are always welcome to call Crompond (243-8140) during school
hours, the best and fastest (especially during non-school hours) way to
contact me is by email (eweiner@yorktown.org). You can expect a response
within 24 hours, if not sooner. I check my email regularly and look forward
to hearing from you!

My child would like to celebrate their birthday in school. What should I do?

You can always send in a snack (following the guidelines of our new district
wellness policy of course) or drop one off. Mrs. Weiner will glady find the
time during the day to celebrate your child's birthday.

What if my child forgets his/her homework materials at Crompond?

After 4:30pm, the doors at Crompond are locked and there is usually nobody
to let you into the school. Prior to 4:30pm, you may come back to the
school to collect the appropriate materials. If the classroom door is
locked you may try to find a custodian to unlock the door for you.

What should my child do if they don't know how to answer part of the homework?

Encourage your child to attempt to answer the question. They should do
their best, and show their work for what they are able to complete. They
should begin to answer the question, until they get to the point where they
don't know what to do. Then you (their parent) should initial the question
so that I know that your child attempted to answer the question, and that
you (their parent) know that they attempted to answer the question.
