These are good things to have when you sit down to practice...
1. A room free from distraction. |
2. A music stand. You can find a cheap folding music stand at any music store, buy one, you'll like it. |
3. A glass of water, in case you get thirsty. |
4. Sheet music, it always helps to have sheet music, when practicing sheet music. In time, some of our sheet will be available on this site for download. |
5. A good reed. Saxes and Clarinets should have Rico brand #2 reeds. Note: If you don't play a reed instrument, you don't need a good reed. You need help. Just kidding, I play saxophone, it's a joke. |
6. A clear and empty mind, ready to accept knowledge. (I write for fortune cookies on the side) |
7. A pencil. So that you can write down everything you've worked on, or stuff that you need to work on...like combing your hair. Again, only joking. |
8. A staff paper book. In mine, I write down musical ideas and revelations. It's like a diary, but your brother can read it without discovering your secret crush. |
9. The Secret Word...which is not here anymore, keep looking. |
