What is the best way to contact Mrs. Leonard?

The best way to contact me is via e-mail.  I usually check it everyday or 
every other day.  My address is dleonard@yorktown.org or you can click on 
the e-mail icon above.

If I don't have e-mail, can I call you at school?

ABSOLUTELY!!!  However, since I teach until 2pm, I may not get back to you 
until the next day.  I will do my best to call you as soon as I can.  
Usually sometime in the afternoon or the next morning between 8:30 and 10 am.

Is there HW every night?

Usually there is a written assignment every evening.  If there is not, your 
child should review his/her notes and study vocabulary.

Do you accept late assignments?

Yes!! However, your child will not receive the full completion credit (see 
course guidelines for more detail.)  I also accept assignments early.  Your 
child is given a reward of 5 points when an assignment is handed in early.  
(The points can be applied to any area...HW, Tests, Quizzes, Projects.)

My child is having some trouble, is there any extra help?

Absoluitely!!  Extra help is offered every week at lunch (7th) or after 
school (7th & 8th).  Students can see me to schedule a session.  ALSO:  
games and activities are available to help with vocabulary and grammar 
topics.  They can be found on the LINKS pages that can be accessed via the 
HOME page of my website.
