The Mohansic Health Office is staffed by a full-time nurse and is open and available to all students every day. Children visit the nurse when they are not feeling well or become injured in school. Some visit for medication (permitted only with written direction form health care provider and parent).
The Health office also monitors student “health”. Many tests and assessments are done through the year. Among these are vision and hearing tests, height and weight measurements, head lice checks and physical assessments. By the end of the school year, every student has visited with the nurse at least once to monitor growth and development.
Special health needs should be communicated to the school nurse. This confidential information helps promote a successful school experience.
Emergency Numbers
Current Emergency Numbers are kept on file by the Health Office and the Main Office. Parents provide this information by filling out two cards distributed at the beginning of the year (Health Emergency Information and District Emergency Information). Please keep this information current for the welfare of your child.
