When does my child have gym?

Our class has gym on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays.  Everyone 
should have sneakers on those days.

What is the best way to contact you?

The best way to reach me is by sending in a note with your child 
or calling the school and leaving a message.  I will always make 
every attempt to answer your note on the same day I receive 
it.When I receive a phone message I will try to return your call 
during my lunch or prep period otherwise I will contact you in 
the evening.

When does my child eat snack?

Snack for our class is at 1:55 on Mondays, Tuesdays and 
Wednesdays and at 2:30 on Thursdays and Fridays.  Please try to 
follow the Wellness Policy Guidelines when packing your child's 
snack.

How much does the school lunch cost and how will I know what is being served?

The school lunch costs $2.25. At the beginning of each month a 
menu will be sent home so that you know what is being served each 
day. You can also view the menu on line. Lunch tickets may 
be purchased by sending in a check, made out to YCSD Lunch 
Program, in an envelope marked Lunch Tickets.  The tickets are 
$45.00 for twenty lunches. These tickets will be kept at school 
and you will be notified when your child has no more tickets. 
Tickets are the easiest way of purchasing lunch for your child 
but of course you may send in cash each day.  When sending in 
cash please try to sent the exact amount and put it in an 
envelope or wallet.

How should I let you know if I am picking up my child?

Every child will be sent home on his/her usual bus each day 
unless I receive instruction that inform me of a change.  The 
BEST way to let me know of any changes is to send in a note in 
your child's Home Folder.  If something comes up unexpectedly 
please call the school and the office will let me know of any 
changes to the usual procedure.

Will my child be able to celebrate his/her birthday in school?

Yes, we celebrate birthdays in school. A few days before your 
child's birthday I will contact you to set up a day for you to 
come in. I ask that you please adhere to the Wellness Policy when 
bringing in a snack.  If you work and are unable to come in to 
celebrate you can drop off a snack in the morning. In June we 
will celebrate any summer birthdays.

When can my child go to the School Store?

The School Store will be open on Fridays at 2:30.

When can my child purchase a snack at lunch time?

Snacks can be purchased on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Snacks can be 
purchased after your child finishes his/her lunch and if there is 
enough time left before the children go out for recess.
