Freshman Vocabulary

Directions:

  • For each prefix, find 5 words that fit the definition that contain the prefix.
  • Choose 2 of the words you selected and write a sentence for each. The sentence should be original and MUST not be the definition (i.e. Biology is the study of living things.) When you finish the ten prefixes for the week, you should have 50 words and 20 sentences.
  • Remember: Use words you already know FIRST, then use the dictionary to help you complete the assignment. Pick words you'll use, not gigantic words you'll probably never see again!
  • The current week's vocabulary is in a larger and different colored font - if you're doing makeup work, make sure you choose the correct words.

Your paper should follow the format presented in class.

See the example below for clarification.
