Writing
to Learn is an online resource where students can read
information about grammar and writing, complete related exercises, and submit
essays. We will be using this web site
in my class for many purposes. Students
will be completing various exercises on grammar, punctuation, and writing
styles. Essays will be submitted via Writing to Learn after the student has shared her essay with
a peer in the classroom for review.
Students will still receive regular teacher feedback on the essays, only
now in a computerized form. Students
will ALWAYS be provided time in the computer lab in which to complete/submit
their work – but access to the site is available any time from any computer
with an internet connection. Students
have a login name (the first two letters of their first name and their complete
last name) and have each been provided a password (two short words and two
numbers with no spaces). If you
