***For extra practice***
****All writing worksheets can be downloaded from the downloadable page****
Please have your child draw a picture and write sentences about the
picture. The first sentence should identify the person or object in the
picture. The next sentence should tell the color or size of the object.
The third sentence should talk more about the person or object.
Please encourage your child to use correct capitalization and punctuation
when needed. Please help your child correct any misspelled words. It is
very helpful for parents to encourage neat handwriting. You may want your
child to write his/her sentences on scrap paper before writing the sentences
on the worksheet.
Some childen may want to write more than three sentences. That is fine
with me. Please encourage children to write interesting sentences. You may
hand in any extra sentence worksheets with the homework packet.

I would like students to use the following time order words: first, then,
next and last. Here is a sample of how the assignment should look.
First, I got up on a sunny, cold morning. Then, I got dressed. Next, I
had breakfast. We shopped for three hours. Last, it was time to come home
because we were tired.
The students should begin the first sentence with the word "first" and
the students should use the word "last" at the beginning of the last
sentence.
Please encourage your child to use their neatest handwriting. Please help
your child with any misspellings.
