Teachers - We Need Your Help!

We have a great Community Service Learning Program but we need teachers to
make the program work. If you are willing to supervise 2-3 students as
a "Professional Assignment" activity (for one period, one day a week) we
need you!

Typically we have anywhere from 15-20 students each term who want to earn an
elective credit by enrolling in the program. But they cannot enroll unless
we have supervising teachers who are willing to work with them. If you are
free during periods 6, 7, or 8 we need you!

If you are worried that it will consume too much of your time and energy,
don't worry! It won't. It is not difficult to supervise a few students.
We have a great system in place. There are forms to keep track of, but you
will be given a complete folder for each student you choose to supervise.
Any forms that get misplaced can easily be printed out from this website.

Teachers who have supervised students in the past say consistently that it
is a very gratifying experience. The students we accept into the program -
and you choose your own students to work with - are generally responsible
and very appreciative of your efforts on their behalf. If students do not
meet the program requirements, they and their parents get one warning.
After that they are dropped from the program. But those that stay in the
program, and most do, find it a very special experience. We think you will
too.

410) or just click on the mailbox on the top right of this website to send
her a message that you are willing to help out.

Thank you very much!
