| Dear Sixth Graders and Families,
All sixth grade math students will have weekly Curriculum Review
(CR) worksheets to complete. Some students may have seen Curriculum Review
sheets for math in fifth grade. These are simply a way for students to
review throughout the year all the concepts they have learned in math.
These are especially helpful for the New York State Math testing the
students will have in March. CR’s will be counted as a quiz grade.
For the downstairs sixth grade team, the schedule for weekly math
CR’s is as follows:
Fridays – Students receive CR and work on over the weekend.
Mondays – Students turn in CR in class. Teacher corrects Monday night.
Tuesdays – Students receive current CR back and make corrections
if needed(get help from the teacher as needed)
Thursdays – Students resubmit CR for final quiz grade. Teacher
corrects Thursday night.
Fridays – Students receive old CR with grade and new CR (see above).
In the beginning, students will be getting accustomed to the
schedule for CR’s. Please remind your child as needed so that he or she
does not receive a zero for a quiz grade! I understand that these children
are still getting used to their lockers and bringing their materials for
CR’s, including not losing their work or leaving it in their lockers. Thank
you very much for your cooperation!
Sincerely,
Miss Zirpoli
