 Discipline
    Clip-chart.jpg
Here is the clip chart that is in the classroom.  Each child has their own clothespin with their number on it.  Each day, every student starts on Great Behavior.  If the student breaks a classroom rule, they will move down their clip once.  This is their warning.  They will not miss recess for a warning.  If they continue to not follow the rules, they will have to move down their clip again.  They are now on Make Better Choices.  They will miss 10 minutes of recess and fill out a form to bring home that explains why they had to move their clip down.  If they still continue to disobey, they will move their clip down to Parent Contact.  You will receive a parent note or a call as to why your child has moved their clip down.  They will miss 20 min of recess and have to fill out a form to bring home also.

Positive Reinforcements
I have three methods for rewarding students:

1.  Individual Basis- Students receive tickets for desired behavior.  When they get 20 tickets,             they get a piece of candy.  When they get 30 tickets, they get to pick from a free                        homework pass or a chance to read a book to the class.  If they get 40 tickets, they get             computer time or a chance to pick something out of the treasure box.

2.  Class Cooperation-  When the class gets a compliment or works together, I will put marbles              in a jar.  When the jar is filled, they will have a class party of their choice.

         3.  Group rewards-  Each group has an opportunity to work together and be ready to go, or             cooperate during a group activity.  When this happens, I will give that group a tally.  When a               group reaches 10 tallies, they can eat lunch in the classroom.
