Student Spotlight

Welcome to the Student Spotlight!
This is where we show off some of the awesome work students have produced for French and Spanish class. Please take some time to view their projects and see their hard work and creativity. French II Pair Stories After completing a storytelling unit centering around shopping, French II students worked in pairs or small groups to write an original story using the unit's vocabulary and grammatical structures. They based their tales on storyboard prompts-- a series of illustrations depicting a situation which students elaborated on. Students were encouraged to add as many details as possible in order to make their stories come alive for the reader. After writing their stories, students learned how to add French accent marks into Word documents as they typed them and added clipart to represent the main ideas. Spanish II Stories Spanish II students also wrote stories in pairs or small groups centering around their storytelling unit. Students were given the freedom to write a story about whatever they wanted as long as they incorporated the vocabulary and structures from the unit. Like the French classes, they learned how to add accent marks into their documents which they then illustrated with clipart. The students voted for their choice of which stories to include here, so you will see their first and second prize winners and the three stoires that tied for third place. French III Paris Projects French III students researched a virtual visit to Paris, then created a Powerpoint or hardcopy scrapbook of their trip. They concentrated on writing captions in the past tense, as if they had truly visited the attractions. They planned out and took digital photos of themselves, which they superimposed over photos of Paris using Adobe Photoshop to create the illusion of truly being in the City of Lights. Here you can find examples of the PowerPoint scrapbooks they created.
