Here are the answers to the questions I am most often asked.
- What do I need to bring to class everyday?
- What heading should I put on my papers?
- What should I do if I was absent?
- Can I turn an assignment in late?
- I wasn't here yesterday. Did you do anything?
What do I need to bring to class everyday?
Your notebook and handouts take the place of a textbook, so bring them every
day. You also need writing utensils and your flashcards.
What heading should I put on my papers?
Always write your French name, last name, student number or class family
name, period, date, and page number if it's a text exercise.
What should I do if I was absent?
1. Check to see what you missed on the webpage for your class.
2. Get the handouts you need from your class' folder next to the computer.
3. Arrange to make up any quizzes or tests.
4. Copy any notes you missed from a friend.
Can I turn an assignment in late?
Full credit is given for homework only if it is on time and complete.
However, you can turn in credit/no credit assignments by the next class for
half credit. Repeatedly turning homework in late can really hurt your grade,
so keep it to a minimum.
Graded assignments turned in late will result in a letter grade drop off the
earned grade for each day late.
I wasn't here yesterday. Did you do anything?
You are an important part of this class. It just isn't the same when you
aren't here, but we still have to go on. We're glad when you return. Please
check you class Web site to see what you missed! Get any handouts you need
from your class' folder next to the computer. Ask me if you have any
questions, but it's probably better to ask before we get started or after
class.
