In class: I collected the homework packet. Students practiced their
conversations with a partner. We discussed the idea of gender. I gave the
class a handout on classroom vocabulary.

In class: Students practiced with their partners while I discussed grades
with individual students. We started defining and discussing the new vocab
list.
