When
your child comes to a new word, give a few seconds and let your child figure
it out.
Encourage
your child to use the following when they come to an unfamiliar word.

Meaning
(Does it make sense?)
o
Structure
(Do we say it that way?)
o
Letters/Clusters
(Does it look right?)
If
your child still can not figure out the word tell it to them.
Praise
the efforts of your child.
Make
the reading experience enjoyable
