Bus Safety

We must never go under the bus. We
are the same size (if not smaller)
than the wheels on the bus. We can
replace items but not us.

The safety zone is 10 feet around
the bus. This allows the driver to
see us and will keep us safe. The
driver will signal us if it is safe
to cross, but we still go part way
and look both ways before crossing
completely. We need to have a safe
spot at least 20 steps from the
road to meet our parents or family
member when coming home and getting
on the bus.

We practiced two ways to exit the
bus in case of an emergency. We
can exit from the back of the bus,
or the front of the bus. We can
also go out the window or top of
the bus.

We must remember to NEVER go under
the bus, NEVER go behind the bus
and NEVER stick your hands or head
out the window. We must also stay
in the the safety zone
