Each teacher has requirements for homework. Please check below for 2nd grade
requirements.
1. ANY book can be taken home ANYTIME to read, study, or complete work.
2. Tests may not be taken home. There are tests (or assessments) in reading
PB (practice book), phonics, and Math. Any other pages can be done when
they are assigned and completed or checked at home.
3. The children have 2 standing assignments every night in addition to
whatever they have in their student planners. These are:
a. Read every school night ANY story in their readers at least
10 minutes.
b. Practice flashcards at least 10 minutes.
4. Homework is usually due the next day. If a child is absent, one day is
given for each day missed to turn in assignments.
