W, 8/24:  We covered class policies.  One handout was distributed.
R, 8/25:  A handout decribing online course support was distributed and
discussed.  We then turned our attention toward a prior knowledge inventory
of the upcoming grammar unit by completing a worksheet with seven sentence
prompts.  As you exited the room, you were given a multi-page handout which
comprises the first section of our current grammar unit.  Read and study
this handout tonight.

F, 8/26:  We reviewed the notes distributed yesterday and then completed an
in-class worksheet focusing on problem areas involved with finding sentence
subjects.  Two handouts were distributed as well.  Read and study these
two handouts (as well as the one you received last night).  Memorize the list
of helper verbs that we discussed during class and which is contained in last night's handout.

M, 8/29:  Vocabulary books were distributed today, and we listened to the
nice person describe the new words in unit one.  A handout was
then distributed which detailed the method to use in order to properly study
for vocabulary tests.  We'll continue our work with the exercises in the
