How do I study for math?
It's just like any other class. Read any material from the text, read notes
taken, and do problems related to the topic ot topics. But, most of all,
keep an open mind and stop thinking that you hate math. Math is not
physically able to hurt you. If you embrace math, then it will embrace you.
Why do I get so much 'homework'?
Someone sometime in the late 80's or early 90's said that kids are getting
too much 'homework'. But research has proven that kids have WAY TOO MUCH
time on their hands. Many hours are wasted on TV, internet, and/or video
games. So why not have a bunch of 'homework'. It will only help you get a
great grade.
Why do I need math?
Math is present in some form in many professions. All professions needing a
degree, certification, or license need math (Algebra to be specific)in order
to graduate. For instance, my wife wants to be a nurse and it is required
for her to take Algebra. This is 15 years after she graduated from HS.
Besides all that, all students must pass the Ohio Graduation Test in order
to graduate from high school. So you see, math is very important to your
future success.
Why is math hated so much?
I have no clue. I think the main reason for its lack of popularity, to say
the least, is because of difficulty comprehending at an early stage. Not all
kids can grasp mathematical concepts. We all learn differently. Therefore,
if one does not 'get it' immediately, frustration sets in then WAM!
Immediate dislike. Its like kissing your aunt with the mustache. Once you
have a bad experience, you never want to be put in that situation again.

Go to home page, click on your course icon and there you will see what we
are doing for a week or two at a time.
Am i allowed to check out calculators to take home?
Yes. Calculators can be checked out through the library. See Connie Carnicom.
Will I need to purchase a graping calculator?
Eventually yes. There are only enough to supply one class. If everyone
checks one out, there will be none left to take home.
