About The Teacher

Andrew Grega holds a bachelor's degree in music education from Bowling Green 
State University, and a master's degree in music education from The Ohio 
State University.  This is his ninth year as Vocal Music Director at 
Grandview Heights High/Middle Schools, where he instructs the Concert Choir, 
The Grandview Singers, 7th/8th Grade Mixed Choir, 6th Grade Choir, and 
serves as music director and production manager for the high school musicals.

From 1995-1999, Mr. Grega was the Director of Choral Activities in the St. 
Marys City Schools in St. Marys, Ohio, where he taught junior high music and 
directed several high school choirs and musicals.  From 1999-2000, Mr. Grega 
held an assistantship at The Ohio State University where he taught class 
piano, assisted with teaching methods courses, supervised and evaluated 
student teachers, and studied choral conducting and vocal music education.  
From 2000-2003, he was Vocal Music Director at Brookpark Middle School in 
the South-Western City Schools.

While at BGSU, Mr. Grega was a member of the Men's Chorus, Collegiate 
Chorale, and the A Cappella Choir.  While at OSU, he was a member of the 
Men's Glee Club and the Chorale.  He has appeared in community theatre 
productions in Van Wert, Ohio and Bowling Green Summer Musical Theatre.  Mr. 
Grega has twice traveled to Europe as an alumni member of a BGSU ensemble, 
performing in Italy and France in 2002, and Sweden in the summer of 2007.

Outside of GHHS, Mr. Grega is a member of the Columbus Symphony Chorus and the
BGSU Alumni Men's Chorus.  He is involved in the Ohio Music Education
Association as an active member and competition adjudicator.  He is a member
of the American Choral Director's Association, and is currently serving a two
year elected term as the South Central Region Chairperson for the Ohio Choral
Director's Association.  He is listed in the 2004 edition of "Who's Who in
America" among American teachers.
