Homework includes a nightly reading assignment. Your child may also have
questions to answer after completing thier reading. Please allow your child
to answer the questions the way they feel is appropriate. The work that they
return to school with the next day provides me with valuable information to
create teaching points for their group.
Occasionally, your child may come home with other small homework assignments
that compliment math lessons or one of our many units.
There will also be additional projects for your child to complete that are
done to meet the standards set by the state of Ohio. More details are given
at the time that these projects are assigned. The first grade team tries to
give an adequate amount of time for these projects to be completed. Please
let me know if you have any questions or concerns about any of these projects
so we can make the appropriate accomodations.
